Actress Kitagawa Keiko (23) and actor Okada Masaki (20) appeared together at Nogi Jinja Shrine in Tokyo’s Akasaka on the 6th to wish for the success of their new film, Matataki. Based on the novel by Kawahara Ren, the story focuses on a woman who loses her boyfriend in a car accident. Traumatized by the event, she becomes unable to recall memories of their final moments together.
At yesterday’s event, the production company specially invited 120 lucky fans to attend via the social networking site Twitter. As the two actors are playing lovers in the film, Kitagawa was tightly holding onto Okada’s arm as they made their way out together. Later on, the two were arranged to have their marriage fortunes read. Kitagawa was very happy to receive the best fortune, as her slip read out ‘daikichi’.
Matataki will be released nationwide on June 19th.
