Arashi (嵐)’s new single “Troublemaker” has been released on March 3rd.

The song “Troublemaker” is used as the theme song of the drama “Tokujo Kabachi(特上カバチ!!)” which is on air now and is starred by Sho Sakurai (櫻井翔).

The music video is glittering, with a colorful positive atmosphere in it. “If you listen to this song once, it will come into your head immediately. From second time, you will be able to sing it…it’s a cheerful song!” commented by Masaki Aiba (相葉雅紀). This song was first sang on their concert in February, and naturally made all fans dancing together.

Jun Matsumoto (松本潤) indicated that he loved the refreshing intro part with strings. Kazunari Ninomiya (二宮和也) also announced loudly: “I like this song very much!”

Another song “Yurase Ima wo (揺らせ、今を)” has been included as the B-side song, which is being used as the theme song of Vancouver Olympic Games 2010 program on Nippon TV.

In the DVD of the limited edition, a video clip of “Troublemaker” is included, while all six tracks with another B-side song “Mou Ippo(もう一歩)” and original Karaoke for each song are included in the normal edition.

Satoshi Ohno (大野智) said no matter melody A and melody B, he felt good when they sing these songs all together. And Sho Sakurai(櫻井翔) was fond of the lyrics especially.

It seems the new single “Troublemaker” is highly evaluated by all members of Arashi. Maybe it will be one of the best pop songs of Arashi ever!

The Sankei Sports newspaper reports that Arashi band member Satoshi Ohno will star in a live-action television adaptation of Fujiko Fujio A’s Kaibutsu-kun supernatural action manga this April. The story follows the prince of Kaibutsu Land, Kaibutsu-kun, as he decides to go to the human world as part of his training to become the king. Fujiko Fujio A is best known for co-creating the classic manga Doraemon.

The new series, which is the first live-action adaptation of the manga after two animated series, will run on the NTV network. The production will use computer graphics and special makeup to transform Ohno into a kaibutsu (monster).

The original manga ran in Shonen Gahosha’s Shonen Gaho magazine from 1965 and 1969. Later incarnations ran in Shonen Gahosha’s Weekly Shonen King (1967-1969) and Shogakukan’s CoroCoro Comic (1980-1982). Tokyo Movie Shinsha animated the story into a 1968-1969 television series and Shin’ei Doga animated a remake from 1980 to 1982. There was also an anime film in 1981.

With the popular boy band Arashi getting another prime time show this spring, NTV has decided to end the group’s late night show “Arashi no Shukudai-kun.” The network announced that the final episode will air on March 22.

“Arashi no Shukudai-kun” has been on the air since October 2006, and has received high ratings despite its time slot.

Popular idol group Arashi have unveiled details of their upcoming single Troublemaker, which is scheduled for release on March 3rd.

The title track will be used as the theme song for the TBS comedy drama “Tokujo Kabachi!!” which is currently airing in Japan and features Arashi member Sakurai Sho in its cast. The b-side Yurase, ima wo will be used as theme song for Nippon TV’s “Vancouver 2010″ which will broadcast footage from the “2010 Winter Olympics” held in Canada and as the winter theme for “Zoom in!! SUPER” and “Zoom in!! Saturday”.

The regular edition of the single will also feature the track Mou ippo and instrumental counterparts for the aforementioned songs. The limited edition will include the music video for Troublemaker.

Arashi member Sakurai Sho is playing the main character who is a hot-blooded and kind young administrative scrivener in the drama “Tokujo Kabachi/特上カバチ!!”. “The guy (I played) is a fresh greenhorn. It reminds me of struggling recklessly.” commented Sakurai.

Even though last year was Arashi’s 10th anniversary, the character named “Tamura Kazuhiro” made him get back to basics.
The drama is based on a popular manga, comically depicting the growth of Tamura who is full of sense of justice. And Sakurai aims to perform “a town lawyer who you want to be around.”

Dramas, songs, TV programs…we probably can see more progress on Arashi members this year.

However, what is “特上(lit. premium)” to Sakurai in his life? “I think it is being a member of Arashi and having fun with my work. Other four members are very cool guys as well.” answered Sakurai.

He was also asked what he would do if he were not an artist, he replied: “I want to work overseas, and, maybe as a journalist.”
He revealed he wanted to play as “a detective” in the future. And who he wanted to meet with? “The speech writer of Obama. I want to meet him. I heard that he is the same age with me.” as a famous newscaster, he really has a wide field of vision.

Sakurai also said if he could have a one month vacation, he would like to go abroad because he likes traveling: “I’d like to travel around Europe by train.”

By the way, having dinner at night is the time with most spirit for him!

And as to his favorite object that’s being used for the longest time is “a pen box bought at the second grade of middle school and I had been using it until two years ago.” That is quite amazing!

Finally he had to buy a new one to replace, but “Currently maybe it’s the clock I bought when I graduated from the university.” said Sakurai.
